OVERVIEW

People And Payload.
In A Single Vehicle.

Crew vans combine passenger seating with usable cargo space in one vehicle, making them the practical choice for trades and field teams who need to move both people and tools together. Available as double cab panel vans and crew cab chassis conversions, they offer seating configurations for five, six or seven occupants alongside a dedicated rear load area.

Vanadam sources and specifies crew vans tailored to how your teams actually operate — whether that means full bulkhead separation, racking in the cargo area, Chapter 8 livery for highways work or specific tow ratings for trailing equipment.

Used across construction, utilities, highways maintenance, landscaping and emergency services, crew vans reduce the vehicle count required to deploy a full team with their equipment, cutting cost and complexity across your operation.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Crew Van
FAQs.

What is the difference between a crew van and a double cab van?

The terms are often used interchangeably. A double cab van (or crew van) is a panel van bodied vehicle with a second row of seating behind the driver, retaining an enclosed cargo area at the rear. A crew cab is typically a chassis cab format where a separate body is fitted. Both configurations are available through Vanadam depending on your operational requirements.

How many passengers can a crew van carry?

Crew vans typically seat five, six or seven occupants including the driver depending on the base vehicle and seating configuration specified. We can advise on the right layout for your team size and ensure all seatbelt anchorage points meet legal requirements for carrying passengers at work.

Can crew vans be fitted with Chapter 8 livery?

Yes. Chapter 8 chevron kits are available for crew vans used by highways maintenance, traffic management and utilities teams working in or near live traffic. We can specify and manage the full livery as part of the conversion process, ensuring compliance with current standards.

Can the cargo area be fitted with racking and shelving?

Yes. The rear cargo area can be specified with van racking systems, shelving, drawers, tool storage and load restraint systems to suit your trade or sector. A full or half bulkhead can be fitted between the crew cab and cargo area depending on whether you need clear access between the two areas.

Which manufacturers do you source crew vans from?

We source from all major UK commercial vehicle manufacturers including Ford, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Vauxhall, Renault and Peugeot. Base vehicle choice is guided by your payload requirement, preferred specification and budget rather than any single manufacturer relationship.

Do you deliver crew vans across the whole of the UK?

Yes. Vanadam coordinates delivery to any location in the UK. All documentation, handover checks and driver familiarisation are completed prior to delivery so your team can put the vehicle to work immediately.
